Bullet Journaling Can Inspire You?

Keep Track Via List Making

It’s really easy to get into a creative slump. Sometimes all it takes is a push in the right direction to get us out of that funk and inspired again. For me, that push often comes from my bullet journal. For example, one way that I use my bullet journal to get inspired is by writing down lists of things I want to do or things I’m experiencing. This can help me come up with new ideas for projects or just help me appreciate the moment more. It’s also really nice to look back on old lists and see how much I’ve accomplished.

As I started to experiment more with it, I began to find all sorts of ways that could help me be more creative and inspired. When I am feeling stuck creatively, spending some time in nature and writing down what I see can give me some new ideas for art projects. It’s really amazing how much you can learn about yourself and your surroundings when you start paying attention!

Focus With A Goal Tracker

I loved the idea of being able to track my goals, my daily tasks, and my thoughts all in one place. For me, bullet journaling has been a great way to stay focused, motivated, and inspires productivity. When I have a goal in mind, simply writing it down in my journal helps me to stay motivated and inspired to achieve it and complete it. If I ever get stuck on how to reach my goal, I can always refer back to my journal for ideas. It also helps remind me of what I’m trying to accomplish if I get sidetracked, which is so easy to do nowadays.

Inspiration For New Ideas

I also find that bullet journaling helps me to think outside the box and come up with new ideas. The act of writing down my thoughts and ideas helps me to better understand them and sometimes I even come up with new ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.  It can help provide direction and inspiration. For example, if you want a career, listing the steps to get there can help you with direction and knowing where to start to achieve the end goal, which is the career you want. Like if you know this career requires you to go to school and get a degree, or certain certifications, you can list how you might get started on that.

Find Satisfaction and Zen In Your Life

Bullet journaling has helped me in so many ways. By tracking my habits and moods, I’ve found that I’m more likely to stick to good habits and stay positive because I enjoy seeing the results of my hard work. It also gives me more “me” time, which I really need to focus on what I want in life. And lastly, it’s just a fun way for me to express myself creatively. I love filling in my monthly spreads, making pretty headers, and drawing little doodles here and there. It’s really amazing how much simpler things feel when everything is written down in one place. It’s really become a form of self-care for me, and I’m so grateful for that.

It’s Customizable

I love that I can customize my spread to my own liking and that it’s an outlet where I can pick what aesthetic I want to go for. Creating a page that really inspires me keeps me excited to keep up with whatever I purposed the page for. I look forward to expanding on my spread designs, repurposing some with new ideas, or going in a totally different direction and seeing what works best for me. You don’t have to be an artist to be artistic, you just have to be excited about the idea of creating something just for you. The great thing about bujoing is it can be art that also provides you with great mental health benefits too.

Time To Bujo

I absolutely love bullet journaling because it helps create inspiration. For example, I used to write down my goals in a separate notebook, but I found that it wasn’t very effective because I wouldn’t refer back to it as often as I should. But in my bujo, I can track them and also have a place for clever ideas. Another thing I really like about bullet journaling is that it helps me feel motivated to write in my journal. For example, if I’m feeling down, I’ll go to my favorite coffee shop and journal there. This helps me get more ideas and also makes me feel better.

I also like to use my bullet journal as an event planner. By having all of my upcoming events in one place, it helps me stay organized and less stressed out about trying to remember everything. And finally, habit tracking has been really helpful in inspiring me to develop good habits. Seeing my progress over time has been really motivating, and has helped me stay on track with the things that are important to me.

Supplies To Create An Inspirational Spread

I love using different art supplies and markers when I bullet journal because it helps me get more creative. For example, if I’m feeling really down, I’ll use bright colors to help me feel better. Or, if I want to focus on a specific goal, I’ll use bold colors and stickers as symbols, like on a map, to help me stay on track. There are so many different ways to use colors and supplies in my bujo, and I love that I can tailor it to my own needs. It’s really an amazing and easy way to express myself and to get more inspired. (You can find some of my favorite bujoing supplies HERE)

Inspirational Quote Spreads

I often use pages in my bullet journal to write down quotes that inspire me or create entire quote pages with beautiful calligraphy. This gives me a dedicated space to write down inspirational quotes that I come across, as well as a place to reflect on what these quotes mean to me. I can look back and reflect on times in my life by the quotes which moved me. Additionally, creating quote pages in your bullet journal can be a fun and creative way to decorate the pages and make them your own visual representation of what is going on in your brain. There are endless possibilities for how you can design your quote pages, so let your creativity flow! (Get inspired by checking out some of my favorite bullet journal spreads HERE)

Benefits of Bringing Everything Together

Bullet journaling has been a game-changer for me as a photographer. It allows me to get all of my ideas down on paper in one place so that I can reference back to my notes later. I often get inspiration from other photographers. When I see something that inspires me, I jot it down in my bujo so that I can come back to it later. Whenever I see a new prompt or layout idea, it immediately gets my creative juices flowing and I start thinking of all the different ways I could use that prompt or layout for a shoot.

Additionally, it has also been helpful in the planning process for photo shoots. I like to write out a detailed plan for each shoot so that I know exactly what I need and what I want to achieve. This way, I can visualize the shoot and make sure I have everything I need before I set it up. And if I do come across any potential issues, I can identify them and come up with a plan ahead of time. Bullet journaling has definitely been a huge help in keeping me inspired and organized as a photographer.
